Different from Ethereum, EOS account is no longer a string of characters. Like social medium account, all users are able to customize their own accounts. The character can be used for EOS accounts includes: letter a-z and number 1-5.

Generally speaking, your EOS account is combined with 12 characters. With higher operation authority, such as EOS block producer, you can create EOS account with less characters, otherwise, you may need to bid for it.
